Dear god, no. Don't punish him for what I said...

The Comic Gods have decreed that my diatribe aainst Ghost Rider could not go unpunished. So they decided to hit me where it would hurt the most.

They killed Cap.

The worst part is, they shot a fish in a barrel. If Cap had gone out fighting the Red Skull, I would have been okay. if Cap had been killed in Civil War, I would be sad and hurt, but not to this degree. But no. The kiled him when he was restrained, probably doped to the eyeballs, and without his shield. Fuckers.

The only way this could get worse is if Nick Fury pulled the trigger.

*off to mourn*

Fuck this. I'm skipping school today to properly mourn him.

What's up with people loving the Cap? You know he's exactly the sort of person who supports Bush.

Having just read Oz's response to an earlier Cap-bashing comment of mine, I will post my revised statement:

I will note that, as a primarily graphic novel-oriented comic fan, my sole experience with the Captain comes from a few trades in a couple Ultimate series'. I do not have them here for reference, but everything I saw in them gave me indications not simply that he supported his country unconditionally, but that his attitudes in general seemed to conform to those of our esteemed president. I vaguely recall that his encounters with the X-Men (my favorites) had a profound effect on my beliefs. As I have limited experience, I could easily be wrong.

Null, I don't think you understand Cap. He was so much more than that. Cap may have participated in the first wave of invasions in Iraq, but as soon as he'd realized that there were no WMDs, he's have gone straight to the white house and crammed his shield so far up G-Dub's ass he'd shit pancakes for the rest of his life.

He was a great man, if a little misunderstood.
